Railroad shipping: Archers, Daniel, Midland files lawsuit against rail carriers over fuel surcharges

Global agricultural processor Archers Daniel Midland Company (ADM) filed a lawsuit in Minnesota District Court last week against five Class I railroads, whom ADM claims collaborated to fix fuel surcharges, according to various media reports.

American Trucking Associations says tonnage index is up year over year

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) said this week that its seasonally-adjusted for-hire Truck Tonnage index was flat in February, coming off of a 2.4 percent gain in January and a 1.5 percent gain in December.
